Choose your deductible
If you choose to pack your household goods and personal effects yourself, the deductible (or excess) that applies for full cover is NZ$500. But this reduces to NZ$100 if your goods are professionally packed by your removal company.
If you’re moving anything else, you can choose your own deductible options of nil, NZ$250 or NZ$1,000.
The maximum we’ll cover
The maximum limit for any one transit is NZ$250,000 with sub-limits of:
- NZ$100,000 for used machinery and electronic equipment – except for household goods and personal effects cover where the limit for any one item is NZ$10,000
- NZ$50,000 for any one animal
- NZ$30,000 for any item or set of art work, picture or antique – except for household goods & personal effects cover, where the limit for these items is NZ$10,000
If the total value of your goods, or the value of any single item you’re transporting, exceeds these amounts, let us know. We may still be able to offer cover but it may be on different rates, terms or conditions, or we might offer cover specifically tailored to suit your needs.
If you need to ship cargo internationally to or from New Zealand, we can offer comprehensive cover for your goods.
